Iberdrola Bus Welcomes almost 103 000 visitors in 2012

The IBERDROLA Bus welcomed a total of 102,864 visitors in the year 2012 (up 2% on the previous year) at over 50 locations throughout Spain.

The company has taken its green vehicle to over 50 locations throughout Spain, where it has received visitors from schools, cultural institutions, the media and business groups

The IBERDROLA Bus was visited by an average of 8,570 people per month, with December being the most successful month (43,600) in terms of numbers

The IBERDROLA Bus welcomed a total of 102,864 visitors in the year 2012 (up 2% on the previous year) at over 50 locations throughout Spain.

The IBERDROLA Bus was open to visits from various stakeholders, such as educational and training centres, cultural institutions, media, corporate groups and consumer associations.

Some 770 groups – students, housewives, disabled, cultural associations and senior citizens – took the opportunity to visit the vehicle.

The IBERDROLA Bus was visited by an average of 8,570 people per month, with December being the most successful month (43,600) in terms of numbers In terms of groups, children under 12 years of age accounted for 44% of visitors, with citizens aged between 25 and 60 year making up 26%.

IBERDROLA launched its 2012 Campaign for the Environment in February with the main aim of promoting among its customers and the general public its commitment to sustainable development, one of the company’s distinctive hallmarks.

The IBERDROLA Bus has been travelling around Spain since the year 2005 with the aim of strengthening the Group’s links with society, particularly in the autonomous regions where the company operates, and ratifying the brand values: respect for the environment and a commitment to innovation and internationalisation.

The company’s environmentally-friendly bus is equipped with various audiovisual tools, so that visitors may take part in various interactive activities intended to heighten their awareness regarding the issue of the responsible use of energy.

IBERDROLA equipped the vehicle with 60″ plasma screen and a video-DVD player to show informative and educational films about the environment and renewable energies.

The IBERDROLA Bus also has five computers connected to the Internet, as well as a photocopier, scanner and printer. These resources provide visitors with access to environmental tips and allow them to take part in various games.
