Expo: IEEP Fair 2013 underway

The third Industrial, Electrical and Electronics Exhibition of Pakistan (IEEEP) got underway at the Karachi Expo Center from October 29-31. The exhibition aims to boost electrical and electronics exports.

The event was inaugurated by Member of Sindh Provincial Assembly, Sharmila Farooqi. She visited various stalls of the exhibition and appreciated the initiative taken by the organising committee.

“It’s a great learning experience to visit this exhibition and the initiatives taken are of immense worth, at a time when the world is heading towards technological advancements,” Farooqi said. She added that these channels were not only important to promote innovative ideas but also provide energy solutions in order to meet the energy demands.

Chairman IEEEP, Obaid-ur-Rahman Khan Kamal Zai said that the fair would provide great networking opportunity to electronic industry manufacturers, traders and service providers to interact with key decision makers from related industries.

“The exhibition also provides a bridge between the academia and industry for our future generation of young engineers,” Zai said, adding that the exhibition will pave way for interactive energy solutions to overcome the energy crisis.

IEEEP Fair 2013 is organised by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers of Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi in collaboration with Badar Expo Solutions, the leading event management company of Pakistan.

“It is an exclusive forum for the electrical and engineering industry players to meet the challenges of rapid development”, said COO, Badar Expo Solutions, Zohair Naseer.

He said that the dissemination of technical knowledge and introduction of advanced technology to its members could prove a vital step towards development.

The three-day event will gather the electrical, electronics, allied industry and engineering sectors of Pakistan under one roof.
