Energy projects to be completed in transparent manner: Ch Sher Ali

Punjab Minister for Energy Ch. Sher Ali has said, all energy projects in the province will be allotted to the energy companies according to their progress, merit and through open tenders.“All energy projects will be accomplished through transparent process according to the rules and regulations,” he added.He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting with the delegation of Japanese energy company Sumitomo Corporation Asia pte. Ltd. General Manager Shunichi Katagiri, General Manager Pakistan Tallat Bashir and Assistant General Manager Keijiro Yamamoto were present in the meeting.

The Minister said the government was providing all possible facilities to the national and international energy companies and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was trying hard for generating energy in the shortest possible time. He said, no relaxation will be given to anyone rather all procedures would be adopted.

He said, many MoUs have been signed with the renowned international energy companies and they are installing their products in Punjab on trial basis also. He said, speedy practical work is going on solar, biogas and other alternative energy resources and according to the promises by the government with the people of Punjab, we will become successful to come out energy crisis very soon.

In the meeting, the members of the Japanese delegation expressed that they want to do work in energy sector especially in Jam Shoro and other energy projects in the Punjab and they will prove themselves with their performances.

The Minister assured the delegation for complete cooperation and advised them to participate in the open tenders. He further told them that each and every energy project will be completed hundred percent according to the government rules and regulations.
