Electricity shortfall stands at 1100MW

The electricity shortfall in the country was standing at 1100MW, stated National Transmission and Dispatch Company. According to the NTDC, the electricity generation in the country was 9900MW, while its demand was 11000MW. It was stated that 3380MW was being generated through hydel, 1570MW through thermal while IPPs were adding 4950MW in the national grid.  In small cities and towns least duration load shedding was being carried out.
