CM welcomes investment by Chinese companies

Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said the province had been facing shortfall of energy, which could be overcome by exploiting the sources of solar, wind, hydro, and coal-based electricity and for this cause the investment by Chinese companies would be more than welcomed.

The CM gave these remarks on Monday while holding a meeting at the Chief Minister House with a four-member delegation of Hanergy Holding Group, which is a Chinese-origin company working on projects of renewable energy especially solar power. The CM said that the federal and provincial governments of Pakistan had been enjoying special business relationships with the Chinese government and China’s business community for the last several decades.
