Aptma welcomes energy management plan

The leadership of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) on Thursday appreciated the energy management plan of the Punjab government and said it will bring the textile industry out of the crisis, a statement said.

A delegation of Aptma called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif. Aptma Group leader Gohar Ejaz led the delegation.

Aptma Central Chairman Ahsan Bashir and Aptma Punjab Zone Chairman Shahzad Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.

Presenting the industry’s viewpoint on the energy security and affordability matters, Ejaz appreciated the dynamic visionary approach of the Punjab chief minister to resolve the energy crisis.

The energy management decisions of the Punjab chief minister will go a long way in realising the potential of the textile industry in the province and uninterrupted availability of energy to the textile industry, while remaining within the constraint resources will make closed capacities operational and job security of millions of workforce.
